According to statistics released by the Social Security Administration (SSA), the acceptance rate for Social Security disability benefits is shockingly low. Of the approximately two million applications for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) that the SSA receives every year, only about 800,000 to 900,000 make it through the entire process.
